Return to stock recovery after TWRP topic

So i recently rooted my device and installed TWRP to flash some files, but today i went to take the OTA (big mistake, i know) and i just get in a TWRP loop, i go to reboot the system and it brings me right back to TWRP. I tried to nandroid restore but apparently my backup was interrupted or something because i get the same thing after trying to restore. At the moment i am trying to install a custom rom and see if i can get my stock recovery back, any suggestions on how to do so once the rom is finished installing? I tried to use lg flash tool earlier to re-downgrade, but it wont pick it up in TWRP, and thats what it brings me to when i do the button combo with the usb cable thing.
HELP me lol

Advice needed: Need to TEMPORARILY return to stock(ish) from GE 4.4.2 ROM with MDB topic

So I have a unique situation. I have an S4 with an MDB or MDL bootloader (don't remember what I had when I left stock ROM behind) with a 4.4.2 GE ROM on it (using Loki). My recovery is TWRP.

I did flash an MF3 radio if that matters.

I need to SIM unlock the phone but none of the methods I've tried (including Regionlock Away) work on this GE ROM.

I know if I return to a stock (rooted) ROM I can run RegionLock Away or use a few methods here but I want to do this the fastest/easiest way possible and get back the phone back onto a new 4.4.4 KK ROM (waiting a bit for LP).

Anybody have any suggestions for a rooted & defanged but generally stock ROM I can flash temporarily? I need the CSC data to be intact for RegionLock Away to work.

Seems like most of the older ROMs out there are broken links at this point and all the newer TW ROMs I've seen are for SafeStrap (plus they have been heavily modified)

I know worst case scenario I can ODIN back to MDL (probably flash MDL radio first just to be safe) then re-root but I don't even have all the tools for that anymore (I originally rooted using a work PC I no longer have) and I suspect a lot of what I need will be broken links since they were last useful for most people in 2013.

Anyways I'm just looking for the shortest/easiest path to SIM unlock (without paying for a code). I did try the official AT&T but I'm still under contract for another month so they denied. I want to use the phone for a T-Mobile test drive next week.

Thanks for any advice/suggestions.

Digital River (DR) return address topic

I am returning my M9 that I bought through Digital River (HTC.com). Has anyone else returned their M9 through DR. The return address they emailed me to return the phone did not have a suite number. I emailed them and they said a suite number was not needed. My concern is that I have dealt with DR before and returns can be a nightmare. I know that DR also sells BlackBerrys the return address is the same except BB has a suite number. I do not want the M9 to go to the wrong location and not receive a refund. Has anyone else returned their phone and received a suite number? Here is what they emailed me.

[Q] Return 4.4.3 to stock. Flash 4.4.2 or 4.4.4 system and recovery? topic

I just bought my son a used Moto X (2013). He's already set it up and installed his apps. When he accepted an OTA update (4.4.3 to 4.4.4) it failed and we discovered that TRWP recovery was installed. He would like to revert to a stock recovery so that he can accept Lollipop OTA when available.

I can easily install 4.4.4 with the images and instructions from Motorola but this would cause him extra work as he would have to set up the phone again.

I assume I can just flash the stock system and recovery image but Motorola only offers the images for 4.4.2 and 4.4.4 not the 4.4.3 that he has installed.

Would it be safe to install one of those? Which one? Would that preserve the apps he's already installed?

Thanks in advance.

Return completely to stock (VM) topic

I'm trying to get a completely stock experience on my phone. I want to update it to the latest version but cannot because it is rooted, bootloader is unlocked, and a custom recovery is installed. I tried installing a stock rom then flashing a stock recovery and then relocking the bootloader to run the RUU on HTC's website. I am stuck on hboot version 3.18.xxx. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

[Q] Slow charging after update to lollipop and return to kitkat topic

Hi i flashed somboons lollipop ROM for D802 in a D805 and I noticed a slow charging , then I tried to go to stock 4.4.2 with lg flash tools and it did not work , stuck on 2% , well then I repaired my phone with tot. File , modify it and make think Lg Flasher that is a D802 and then it booted to stock jelly bean normally , then updated to 4.4.2 with lg flash tool and slow charging stills there , I don't know what happer , it's no the charger because before all that problems the phone charged correctly , and also in twrp and turned off it charges fast , so what can I do? Maybe there are lollipop files in /system? I will try a full wipe and install a new ROM in TWRP.

[Q] Running AllianceROM want to return to Stock topic

I'm currently running the Alliance ROM, Android Version 4.4.2 NC4, on my note 3 but I want to completely return the phone to stock settings. I have read through the forums and came up with some conflicting instructions. if there's anyone who has attempted this before could you please help.

I think I am supposed to use Odin 3.09 to flash NC4 tar file "N900VVRUCNC4_N900VVZWCNC4_N900VVRUCNC4_HOME.Tar.M d5.7z" along with the PIT file "HLTE_USA_VZW_32G.Pit" and It should work.

These are my questions for anyone experience with this:

1. Do I need to flash the NC2 or NC4 modem along with the two other files?

2. I came across a second Verizon stock file named "N900V_VZW_N900VVRUCNC4.tar.7z"

To recap there is nothing wrong with the phone its running Alliance ROM on Android 4.4.2 and I would like to return it to the phone to stock. Anyone with information and how to do this would appreciated greatly.
