Does a factory reset wipe OS updates? topic
Planning to give my Bro my G2 which just updated to Lollipop. When I do a factory reset, does it return to Kit Kat, or has the Lollipop update overwritten the Kit Kat files?

I'm new to the forums. I need to know how to revert my phone back from Skydragons GPE to factory stock along with the bootloader not saying modified. Hey guys thanks for reading and hopefully we can get this problem solved. The problem is that my pc won't reconize my phone when I boot into hboot. I've been trying to return to stock since I'm returning the phone for a replacement but I cant because it doesn't show up.
I've tried
Different cables
restarting phone and pc
uninstalling and reinstalling
Different platform tools
Another thing is that when the phone is on and connected it shows up when I type adb devices but in the hboot screen i doesnt if you guys can help that would be great, Thanks

[Q] Cant Factory Reset (Verizon G3), Help! topic
I have a Verizon LG G3, updated to lollipop, everything working fine for a day, then re-rooted, still working fine til I noticed xposed wasnt running. When I attempted to uninstall it before reinstalling the trouble began.... the reboot in the uninstall never finished, and still hasnt finished almost a day later. I have already tried every option in the bootloader (safe mode, usb debug, clear cache, factory reset) they all just hang at the LG splash screen forever. Please help! Ive tried everything I can think of, cant reflash via USB, cant factory reset via bootloader or adb.

[Q] Nokia XL is not resetting its factory settings topic
I am using nokia xl 059V6S5. I installed booster+, apus launcher and other apps. But since last 2 weeks my goes automatically restarting & stucks on nokia logo. When i remove the battery & insert then mobile goes boot & start. Also if i am resetting it for factory setting (Via manually & with recovery mode also) it is not resetting. I tried also nokia x flasher but it is not doing anything also when i am entering to app manager mobile goes stucks & goes turn off. I think in my mobile have something malware.

[Q] Where can I download Moto E factory image OFFICIALLY? topic
I want to flash official CM12 on my Moto E XT1022. I searched first for factory image for Moto E (or COMPLETE STOCK ROM), just in case something goes wrong, I can revert back to stock.
But, I didn't find REAL factory image like the one for NEXUS devices, all what I found is zip file flashed by recovery.
Is there an official website that I can download from it the stock rom, that can be flashed via adb or other way like odin for samsung devices?

Question about factory bl unlock topic
What components/soft ware is used to flash/format the boot loader partition while they ate being assembled in the factory? Isn't it possible to purposely brick your turbo and then start from scratch with whatever they use to bulk flash all the turbos after they've been assembled?

[Q] broken usb after flashing factory image topic
hello guys,
i need your help.
My phone was acting up (calls not ringing, sms not received until i make a call...) since the last ota update and i decided to flash the factory image to try solving everything.
I flashed everything manually with fastboot, flashed twrp. I tried to boot, it was taking forever and i though i was in a loop.
So i retried flashing everything again but with the flash-all.sh script provided by google.
The process failed at the radio flashing. after 15 min i unplugged the phone, rebooted it and it finaly started.
But since i don't have usb connection. I can charge the phone but it doesn't appear on the computer (windows, or linux), even with usb debuging on it doesn't show up. When i reboot in bootloader mode, fastboot tell me "wainting for device"
i still have twrp functionning, and i can boot the phone into bootloader / recovery / system fine.
What can i do to fix the usb ?

[Q] after factory reset, can't transfer files topic
did a factory reset after I was already on Lolli. I couldn't get the WiFi Calling icon to show on the left side of the Notification strip.
I'm thinking I was getting intermittent drops of WiFi Calling, so having the icon back would be helpful to troubleshoot.
All went well. Apps loaded. Phone works, incoming and outgoing. WiFi fine. Icon is there.
But I can't transfer files with either AFT or AirDroid Web, both of which worked just fine earlier today.

[Q]How to Recover photos from phone stuck at Boot Logo before factory reset? topic

I am aware of the threads suggesting how to fix the phone stuck at the Samsung Boot Logo. Do factory reset is one option, but this would erase all the personal data in the phone including the photos.
I was able to get into the recovery mode and download mode of the phone. I tried wipe cache partition option in the recovery mode but still no joy. (I couldn't find the option for Wipe dalvik cache though)
I was able to detect the phone in recovery mode via ADB using USB cable. But I was struggling to get ADB to connect with the phone using the command prompt. So I was unable to recover the data/photos in the phone before going down the route of factory reset it.
I saw a few software on the internet claiming they are able retrieve photos/data from soft bricked phone. Can anyone confirm/suggest whether these claims are true? (e.g. REMO Recover for android and Yodot Recover)

I just upgraded my old S3 Mini (GT-I8190) with a custom CyanogenMod ROM (NovaFusion), and it seemed to work just fine except for the camera not working properly. That's why I wanted to revert back to the original TouchWiz, and so I made the genius move of attempting a factory reset.
Now I'm stuck in a bootloop, after the screen saying "S3 Mini blablabla" TWRP keeps trying to boot, but gets stuck on the logo screen everytime after a second or two and just keeps rebooting. I've tried flasing NovaFusion again, flashing the recovery again and using some PARAM and WIPE .tar files over Odin, but to no avail.

I looked yes spent 15 minutes going through here and searching
It was not easy and I gave up
where are the factory stock roms and the instructions to bring my device to stock t-mobile s5 and reset knox.
I wish it were labeled and I wish it were easier to find.
Can someone please kindly link me to where i need to go, i wasted 45 minutes looking to no avail google searching and going through this forum, there really needs to be a section linked to all the unrooting instructions

ANyone know how to do a factory reset? I go into Setting under back up and reset and perform the process and the phone just shuts down and nothing appears to happen.
