IMEI Changed After Root/ROM flash... How do I restore the original? topic
I didn't notice the problem until I recently ended up needing a warranty replacement on my T-Mobile Note 4 (charging port cuts out too much).
I rooted, flashed multiple ROMs (firekat, dynamic, CM12) and firmwares, but the problem persists, and I've checked online for my ORIGINAL IMEI # through T-Mobile's site.
Weird part, both IMEI's are VERY similar, and only off by the last 2 digits...
I am fully aware that rooting voids warranties, but I've never been, nor known of anyone, "caught" after doing a full stock restore.
Can I revert back to my old IMEI # in order to receive a warranty replacement?
