[Q] Asus Zenfone 5 stuck at boot screen (soft brick maybe) topic
Hey guys...
My Zenfone 5 won't boot up. It just stops at the android screen and doesn't go any further.
I can't remove the battery as i don't have the proper tools.
how it got bricked:
I powered off my phone by pressing power button and shutdown, it was connected to my pc at the moment. i didnt wait for the charging symbol(the green battery with a lightning symbol in center) to show up, but i tried to boot into bootloader before the charging symbol showed. when i got the android screen i didnt let go the power button, so my device switched off again. once more i tried into bootloader, i didnt let go the power button, again switched off. now i hold both power and volume up to go into bootloader, and i let go power button, but it is stuck at the same screen and wont go any further.
i tried adb reboot but adb doesnt recognize my device.
Please help.

PC not detecting ZENFONE 2. topic
Just at the title says. Yes i have tried different ports and cords. All drivers are up to date. All cables and ports work as they all work with my nexus 7. What am I missing?!?!:confused:

Rooting and flashing Asus Zenfone 2? topic
Hello guys,
We are all excitied about this device and i myself am planning to buy it..But before buying i have some doubts that i want to get cleared ..
My first question is how do we root our asus zenfone 2? Is there any app/software available so that we can root it...I am aware that there is a Pre-rooted System.img available but is there any other method we can get root on our device??
Second question....How do we do a complete backup of our device? What if our device got bricked or we just wanted to flash our stock rom again...Is backup of rom necessary or we can just flash the stock rom provided by Asus website using ADB?

Theres 2 ways of installing Xposed on our precious ZenFone :p ,
PC & PHONE
PC :
1. Download a respective Xposed Installer (see attachments)
2. Install the downloaded apk on your phone and open it (Let the circle on the top right finishes spinning first, dont press install framework or else bootloop)
3. Open the Download section, don't press anything, this is to make sure the conf folder is created.
4. Go to your adb folder and open a cmd there ;
adb devices (Make sure your phone is listed) -enter-
adb shell -enter-
su -enter-
echo 148 > /data/data/de.robv.android.xposed.installer/conf/jit_reset_offset -enter-
chmod 664 /data/data/de.robv.android.xposed.installer/conf/jit_reset_offset -enter-
5. If succeeded go to your Xposed Installer app, go to framework and then press Install/Update.
PHONE :
Follow the first 3 step from above.
4. Install emulator from Google Play Store.
5. Open it then type ;
su -enter- (give root permission)
echo 148 > /data/data/de.robv.android.xposed.installer/conf/jit_reset_offset -enter-
chmod 664 /data/data/de.robv.android.xposed.installer/conf/jit_reset_offset -enter-
6. If succeeded go to your Xposed Installer app, go to framework and then press Install/Update.

I use Asus Zenfone 5 sincesince almost one year, and I really love it. But since I tried to charge it with the unknown charger I found in the rented car (phone went off right after), the LED indicator keeps lighting and phone acts like it's on charge, whenever it's plugged or not. Do you have any idea how to make it work normally? It's kinda annoying.
The phone is rooted. Recently I replace the screen by myself, cause I broke it. I cleaned the MicroUSB port with a toothpick, didn't help.

[Q] Can't upgrade zenfone 5 firmware topic
Dear all,
My Zenfone 5 is A500CG with Model Number T00F and Build Number ASUS_T00F_WW_user_1.18.40.9_xxxxx.
I followed all the step one by one, first dowload the right firmware from official ASUS to my PC then extract it. Then I transfer the extracted file to internal memory my zenfone 5.. Then disconnect the phone with my PC. After that, notification appear so I chose the firmware that I transfer to my internal phone memory before and than running the process.
In the middle of process upgrading suddenly stop and it says error: "assert failed getprop("ro.build.asus.sku")=="WW" bla bla bla...., why???.
FYI i already download the right firmware: "ASUS ZenFone 5(T00F/T00J) software Image: V1.18.40.10 for WW SKU only". I do it again from the beginning with carefully step by step but still that error message came again.

I have a problem with my Zenfone 4. I wanted to install xposed and now Asus is bricked :( I can't enter to Droidboot - it stucks on USB Logo. I have tried methods from "asus-zenfone.com" nad "Hermanth Kandula Blog" - I can't post links. It doesn't work for me. While using xFSTK Downloader I have errors: imgur.com/NXaEfKD.jpg
Method with ASUS FLASH TOOL doesn't work too. This program can't see my phone which is plugged to USB.
I installed all needed drivers.
