Massive battery drain from multimedia controls topic
I am experiencing massive battery drain whenever I use an app that puts*multimedia controls on the watch.* The watch is a Moto360 with the latest firmware. My Android Wear app is up to date.* This problem has occurred on both a Nexus 5 (5.01 and 5.0.2) as well as a new HTC One M9 (5.0.2).
I get fantastic battery life on my Moto360.* Routinely I get 18 - 24 hours and never have to worry about the battery during the day.* When I travel, if I listen to Google Play Music or PocketCasts my battery life plunges.* Yesterday I have a 5 hour drive and I listened to podcasts for the entire trip.* I didn't not touch the watch (did not use the multimedia controls).* My watch was dead within 6 hours.* This is 100% repeatable every time I use Google Play Music or PocketsCasts.
I tried adding both apps to the notification exclusion list in the Android Wear app and it made no difference.* The watch has recently been reset and paired with a new phone as well.
