[Q] Downgrade from lollipop to kitkat topic

SOCIALIZE IT ⇨

I am on stock lollipop rom rooted with dual recovery. I had backed up Kitkat before flashing lollipop. Now i want to downgrade to kitkat. Can i just restore the kitkat backup from TWRP? will that work? somewhere I read that the bootloader is upgraded and if you restore the backup it may brick the device?
If any of you have any idea plz let me know.
