[Q] {Q] about Galaxy S5 G900V battery, network, ROM topic

Hi just got my new phone Galaxy S5 G900V from Verizon and I have some question.
I’m on official ROM 4.4.2 NCG rooted. I tried official 5.0 OC4 but I didn’t have root and some of my games ware lagging so I switched back to 4.4.2.

1- Which do you think is the best official ROM? Should I stay on 4.4.2 or update to 4.4.4

2- When I charge my phone and it reach 100% often as soon as I disconnect the charger the battery drop by 5-10% so I plug in again for it to reach 100%. Any idea why this happen? Also I notice the first 50% drop much faster than the last 50% is this normal?

3- Is there anyway to force my phone to use H+ only?
I don’t live in US and the best band here is HSDPA+ at work my old Atrix 4G had no problem connecting to H+ but my new S5 constantly drop data connection and the icon on the notification bar constantly change between 3G / H / H+ with the little arrows mostly gray. In network mod my phone say GSM/WCDMA/LTE and if I try to change it, it give only 3 option Global, LTE/CDMA and GSM/ UMTS and none of them is selected. I used Global when on lollipop and I had the same data connection problem.

4- I’m using a case which is plastic but it has aluminum back. Can this metal back cover interfere in signal reception and /or wireless charging? I plan to install one of those ultra slim wirelesses charging receiver.

Hi, I have a question about the unique identifiers that are transmitted to a network by an android device. So, basically my schools wifi network blocks all mobile devices (android, iphones) but it works on laptops. Authentication is done through 802.1x and everyone is assigned their own username and password. When they started blocking phones I thought that they detected them through MAC addresses or hostnames but I was wrong. Does anyone know how they can differentiate between laptops and mobile devices?

I unlock my Xperia Z succesfull. I installed cm11 succesfull. But...
I flash one bad kernel! After flash my Sony wasgoes wrong...
After just i can flash original sony rom.... /can root, can install recovery /locked bootloader//
now i not have network. Sim card is ok. Xperia asq for me the pin code, i give it and i not have network...
The sim card is working other phone.

I have fastboot... I tried reflash boot.img but fastboot told me remote command not allowed!
Via flashtool i can lock relock bootloader but the Bootloader Status: Not rootable
Driver is ok. I try other computer. the failer is same!

You have idea that i repaird my phone?

[Q] I am unable to access 3g network on my Motorola Atrix HD topic

Hello guys! I am christian Abaidoo from Ghana. I use a motorola atrix hd (at&t, jelly bean). Few months ago, my phone was working perfectly until one day I mistakenly selected USA band and lost my network. I then flashed it with cyanogenmod 10.1.3. it was working perfectly but I was only able to access 2g network. Whiles using the cyanogenMod, i searched and searched on the internet for the stock rom for my phone until i found it. I then flashed my phone back to stock rom. Everything is perfect except the fact that i still can only get 2g network. Instead of showing the 4g signal on the status bar as a Motorola Atrix HD phone should so, the 'E' signal rather shows. I cant access phone information using *#*#4636#*#* so I use LTE Settings.apk When I set my phone to 3g, my network cuts off completely and says 'No service'. I thought when i flashed back to stock, i should have everything intact but its not so. I still cant get 3g, I can only get 2g. Guys please i need your help,. 2g is very frustrating. Any ideas on where the problem may be coming from and how i can solve it?. Thanks very much

Galaxy Note II Network Switch topic

My fiance has a Galaxy Note II that was registered with either Telus or Bell (our friend let him borrow the phone until he can get his own) and our network is with Wind Mobile. I looked up on whether or not it's compatible and supposedly it should be but there has to be some "adjustments" on the phone. One website mentioned Odin and QPST but we don't know exactly how to use those programs to change the network to AWS. Is there anything else we can use or do that is much simpler or at least simple enough to understand with proper instructions, preferably one that doesn't brick the phone, unless specifically detailed about how to unbrick the phone, because again, the phone belongs to a friend of ours and we are giving it back to her when he gets a new phone. [Q][HELP] Unable to connect to mobile network topic

I got impatient on waiting for the retail version of Android 5.0.2 for X1032, so I ended up upgrading my bootloader and such in order to have it work properly. However, I ended up getting all sorts of issues, including not being able to uninstall apps, since it would reboot on attempt. I ended up going through several processes, such as flashing back to stock several times, wiping system/cache/dalvik/etc, and I ended up getting that fixed, however, now I am not able to connect to my mobile service carrier. It seems that my radio is turned off, and for some reason when I try to make a call, it tells me that I have to turn off airplane mode. When I try to enable the radio through *#*#4636#*#*, nothing happens. I've tried flashing the radio/kernel from this thread, however, the problem still persists.

When checking my phone status, it looks like this:

Network: Unknown
Mobile Network Type: Unknown
Service State: Voice: Radio Off / Data: Radio Off
Mobile Network State: Disconnected
IMEI: (Everything is still there)
IMEI SV: 00

Changing APN settings does not seem to work, I cannot choose a network operator, as it tells me that I have an error searching for networks.

I honestly don't know where to go from here, as I have searched about my issue for hours, and I have not been able to come across a solution that has actually worked for me. Any help would absolutely be appreciated.

Mi Pad Wireless Network Speed Issue topic

I am using Mi Pad for one week. I have MIUI 6.4.2.0 installed.

I have TP Link 150 Mbps Wireless N router installed in my home. My mobile (Micromax 110Q) showing network speed as 135 Mbps but Mi Pad showing only 72 Mbps.

I am trying to stream full HD (1080p) videos from my desktop hard disc with MX player. The videos playing but sometimes lagging and buffering. I am playing the same videos from my mobile but there is no lag or buffering. My mobile hardwire is much less powered from the Mi Pad. (1 gb ram etc)

How can I increse the network speed from 72Mbps in Mi pad? Is it a bug that preventing Mi Pad from using full capabilities fo wireless network router?

Usually my network is showing one or two bars . And sometimes it shows a question mark. Other than the times when the my outgoing/incoming are fine , a message that reads 'no mobile network' pops up.

I use GSM , 3G (Bangladesh) . What is my best option to fix this ? A guide would help very much. TIA :)

I had been using HTC One X before switching on to Yureka.

In the same locations as earlier, Yureka is giving a bad network quality due to which I have to literally shout during calls!

It installed ok and the phone booted up great but it can't find any mobile network at all if I put a SIM in it says preparing SIM but that it. I want to unlock the network on my Z3 - it's currently locked to Bell Canada. I paid for a code, I got it. My network lock count says 10 so it shouldn't be a problem.
However, because I don't have a non-Bell SIM, I cannot get to the screen needed to enter the unlock code. If I enter
*#*#7378423#*#* I get:

[ ] Network subset 0
[ ] Service provider 0
[ ] Corporate 0
[ ] SIM 0
But this doesn't give me an option to enter my unlock code.

Is there a way to bring up the screen needed so I can enter my unlock code?

AT&T S6 Edge losing network connection - Why? topic

Just upgraded from my M7 to the S6 Edge last Sunday. Since then the S6 has randomly disconnected from both voice and text service twice. The display indicates strong signal and that it's connected but no incoming calls or texts go through. The first time required a reboot to regain connectivity and the second time it took over 5 minutes before it returned. Attempts to make outgoing calls timed out with no connection. Do Not Disturb mode is off and the phone is provisioned correctly. There's no warning that this is happening until someone contacts me using an other method. Any ideas?

Network Signal Issue on Z3. topic

Its been 3 weeks with Z3 and i have been having serious trouble with my network provider Vodafone, Mumbai. Didnt have this issue on my previous lumia 920 or OPO.
the network just goes "no network". even if i manually locate my home n/w and apply, it goes to a never ending loop. only a reboot fixes the issue.
Happens randomly many times a day. i just upgraded to lollypop, the issue has worsened.

Any suggestions? although i didnt face with vodafone on my previous phones as stated, i had to get a new nano sim for this connection for Z3. i tried checking the sim tray.. and as you know, it sits upside down when the phone's display is facing up.. might be a connectivity issue between sim card and the contacts?

Cannot connect to network after flashing custom rom topic

Today I flashed a rom from http://forum.xda-developers.com/note...t0lte-t2974731 and it killed my network. Before flashing I was able to get a signal to T-mobile's network (calling, texting and data). After update, it couldn't find the cellular network (stuck on the screen looking for a network). Going into settings to auto-register on the network also didn't work and getting the message "error when searching for networks". Then I tried to flash stock with odin but it didn't work, gets errors of writing on boot.img and system.img using the stock roms for Jan 16, 2013.

My phone is Note 2 (SGH-889V). originally T-mobile, Wind (Canada) on T-mobile sim.

Please help.

I own a galaxy S3 - I9300
I did not know much about root.. I rooted my phone without backing up anything.. I got frustrated so i have to unroot.. Installed latest firmware I9300XWUGML4 through Odin.. But still I'm not able to use my sim( I use airtel India which is working on other devices).. It is showing me an error "Not registered on network".. My IMEI no. is changed to something else.. :/
Tried everything available on the net.. I dont know how to get my network back...

wi-fi, Mobile Network not working in cm12s?? topic

Initially when I updated to cm12 OTA by manual flash all was smooth but I was unable to goto TWRP instead it was taking to CM recovery so I re started my process.

First installed CM11 44s and then upgraded to 05q and then manually flashed cm12 OTA, now the TWRP is working but my wi-fi is not getting ON and Mobile networks is in Emergency mode.

Kindly someone help me.

I flashed the mode, sd1, sd2 from cm12 folder using adb and also flashed the latest AK kernek v210 but no luck.

Where am I doing mistake>??
