VS980 "low signal notifications" driving me nuts topic

Hello,

I've got a VS980 stock 5.0. My work is in a very bad signal area. I disable data, so I only get calls and texts, which is fine. However, since 5.0 update I get CONSTANT notifications of phantom voicemails and bad connection.

Is there ANY way to disable or fix this? Would flashing to another ROM help? Different radios?

Any advice appreciated, it's driving me nuts and I'm close to getting rid of VZW. I'd like to avoid the headache though...
