Useful Bug/Glitch -- Actually Select 6 QuickCircle Apps topic
Found a neat little glitch for QuickCircle users today.
I did this on CloudyG3 2.2, but I reckon this should work on all the Stock Lollipop roms.
Flashed a modified LGAlarmClock.apk for the modified Quick Circle clock faces, 8Watches.zip from this thread. Well, it kind of messed up and didn't work, so I messed up and wiped the data and cache to the wrong app, LGSmartCover (Settings>Apps>All>LGSmartCover).
It seems that wiping the data and cache to SmartCover unticks "Settings" under Settings>Accessory>QuickCircle Case>Select Apps, which allows us to actually use 6 QuickCircle apps instead of 5 + Settings.
After doing this, the only way to change the clock face is to use the app Activity Launcher and make a shortcut from All Activities>Clock>Settings and place its icon on the home screen in a location that you can touch it while the QuickCircle case is closed. When you close the case, there's about a half a second delay before the QuickCircle becomes active and you can still touch stuff on the home screen, it's in that split second that you have to tap the shortcut to Clock Settings and you'll be taken to the clock face menu. Don't do it fast enough and you'll be taken to Settings>Accessory>QuickCircle Case.
WARNING:
Nothing I've done has been able to restore the tick mark to Settings. The one thing I didn't do was make Titanium Backups of these apps before doing all this. I figured a backup of the modified apk was good enough....didn't think wiping some app data would untick an unusable tick box...
