Many reviewers have criticized the move of the power button from the top to the side. I've had my M9 for almost a week now, and I'll admit it felt weird and unnatural for a while. But to be honest I like the new placement better than the old placement on top now. After getting over my muscle memory it's a lot quicker to turn on and off now. The only sticking point for it really is car mounts. With a case on the clamps don't hit the button but do block it. But all in all I like the side placement of it.

I think another case for moving it is people with smaller hands. I have giant ham fists, so reaching the top was never a big deal. but my wife is a lot smaller than me... While turning her M8 on with a double tap is easy enough, she has to do hand acrobatics to turn the device off using the power button.
