I am a newbie and I recently bought an unlocked nexus 5 (5.1, LMY47I). I want to root my nexus 5 to be able to install modified versions of the operating system (cyanogenmod). I have browsed through several videos and tutorials but none with the requirements (5.1, LMY47I). I even tried the cyanogenmod installer by running the apps both on my phone and PC, only to get a "unsupported firmware" message on PC. Could anyone link me or to a detailed step-by-step procedure on how to root and install a stable version of cyanogenmod on my nexus 5?
