Unlocking question topic

Hey guys, I just got a Galaxy s5 today from a buddy and its locked on US Cellular and I am on AT&T. everytime i try to unlock it instead of doing what i need it to do it tries to call out and say message M O and some other mumbo jumbo...lol. what can i do? i have rooted the device. and i really want to use this on AT&T. please help.
