Tips - Battery Management topic
Though these tips are for CM 12, they should equally work good for CM 11 also. You must be rooted for effective battery management. Rooting does not void warranty. Click here to know how to root.
1. Clear Cache of Google play services
2. Download Disable Service --> go to System --> Select Google Play Services --> Search for "SystemUpdateService" --> Disable system update services
3. Go to settings -->WiFi--> Advanced from options -->Disable "Scanning always available" and set "keep wifi on during sleep" to never
4. Go to Settings --> Privacy --> enable system applications --> Disable auto start/wakeups/keep awake for applications which you do not need to run in background
5. Install Greenify and greenify donation --> Enable to greenify system apps --> Greenify all unnecessary applications which you do not need to run in background
6. Install Droidwall --> Only give internet access to those applications which you want. Do not forget to give internet access rights to the following applications to get a seamless internet profile: ANT HAL, Calendar, Calendar Storage, Chrome, cLock, Clock, CMStats, ConfigUpdater, Downloads, Gmail (or other email application which you use - like Inbox), Google App, Google Partner SetUp, Google Play Store, Google Services Framework, Google text to speech, Media Server, System Updates, other applications which you want to access internet
7. Download Battery Stats Plus Pro and Wakelock detector --> Disable services / greenify those apps which gives more wakeups / consumes more battery
I hope this helps.
