[Q] Transferring unlocked status topic

So I used to have a u.s. cellular s5 that was unlocked and using on verizon. It broke and I got a sprint s5 and I'm trying to use it on verizon. If I change the imei of the sprint phone to the u.s. cellular phone, will the unlocked status transfer over and I can then use it on verizon?
