So I just replaced the front assembly on this Nexus 5, and upon turning it on again, it seems that while Spotify, Instagram, and Facebook are able to connect via Wifi (I have no SIM yet and it's a wifi only device), Hangouts, the OS, Snapchat, and most other apps can't connect.

If it were a hardware issue, you would think I would get no connectivity whatsoever right? So far I've

forgot/rejoined my Wifi network
power cycled the phone
hard closed all apps
Formatted Partition Cache

The next step is either a factory reset or I pop the back off and reattach the antenna cables. The antenna cables don't seem like they'd be it though because I have some connectivity with some apps.

Can anybody think of why this would be happening? Any other troubleshooting that isn't nuke the phone back to factory?

P.S. Remember, this device has no SIM, so I'm wondering if maybe the defunct apps are trying to use mobile data? I can't screw with those settings as there's no SIM.
