[Q] Steps to wipe a HTC Desire 816 with broken screen? topic

I have a HTC Desire 816 with a broken screen but everything else seems to be working fine as I can call it (rings) and change the volume. Now I would like to wipe my personal data so I can sell the phone. Is it possible to do that without a working screen? It is rooted and I think I'm able to enter recovery. What can I do? Thanks in advance!
PS: I'm quite a newbie, so it would be nice if you could explain me what to do in detail or post a link with a detailed description.
