[Q] Nexus 4 poor outgoing audio quality topic
I recently purchased a NIB Nexus 4 and loaded Ubuntu Touch stable 14.04. I am on AT&T, and have a good signal. However, everyone I've spoken to has complained of audio quality. They say it sounds overdriven and muffled. I have tried with/without a protective case, and holding the phone at different angles, but nothing seems to remedy the sound. Incoming audio is crystal clear.
I am saddened by the lack of in-depth audio controls so I can try to 'tweak' the microphone levels to possibly remedy the situation. I am new to Ubuntu Touch, and can't figure out a way to control Pulse through the command line, and Pacmixer can't be installed because I can't figure out if I can even install Git.
Does anyone have any advice on what to try next?
Thanks,
Adam
