[Q] New to Nvidia shield tablet - How to root, unlock etc topic
So I just got my shield tablet lte 32 GB.
I'm a heavy HTC one mini user, the bootloader is unlocked, S-OFF, Philz Touchwiz recovery is installed, and it is root.
The first thing what I do with a new device is unlock everything, install a custom recovery and root it.
A few questions,
-does my shield got a locked bootloader
If yes ==> Can you give me a link to unlock it for my version
If no ==> Mention it please
-Do I need to use a different root and recovery method for my shield since I got the LTE version?
If yes ==> Can you give me a link for the recovery and superuser.zip
If no ==> Can you give me a link for the recovery and superuser.zip
- I already installed every update for my shield, but under System updates, on the tripple dot menu, it says "Clear Update Data"
What does it do if I may ask? Does it just clear the downloaded OTA updates that I installed, or does it also delete the updates from /system and I'm then back on the first version.
I updated my shield to the newest version of Lollipop. (5.0.1)
Thanks.
