[Q] Going from KK to L OTA questions topic

I have a rooted phone, running KK- the only thing I have done is freeze a few apps and install the hotspot provision apk. BEFORE I do anything, I like to check with people who know. Check my plan:

Unfreeze everything frozen (including updater)
Accept OTA update (this will update me to 5.0)
I will loose root in the process..
Root phone using new root process
Install 39a Hotspot Provision APK to allow hot spot

Is it really that simple? I just feel like I'm missing something...
