[Q] New Nexus : Some Questions topic

Hi Team,
I recently switched to a Nexus 6 from a Note 4 (could not stand TW anymore). So far liking the Nexus`s smooth operation. However i have some questions

1-) The phone runs Hot even in day to day normal operation. And its even hotter when running some intensive tasks . Also the phone gets quite hot when charging (even from a non Fast charger)

2-) I was able to get 4.28 Hours of SOT on everything stock ( 5.1 ). Its lower then Note 4 , but i am fine with it . Just wanted to ask if its normal SOT ?

3-) I read that the stock kernel on the N6 is quite bad. Should flashing a good custom Rom / kernel resolve the issue of phone running hot ?
