[Q] How to Root 23.0.1.A.4.30 Z2 Tablet topic
I have looked everywhere but it is not possible to root the 23.0.1.A.4.30 firmware with it's kernel.. I need root to backup the DRM keys before unlocking the bootloader. I want to install Cyanogenmod on it like my other devices have. The tablet is now 100% stock: no root, no custom recovery or anything.
I know I can downgrade to a lower firmware version (which I don't want to do), but does that require an unlocked bootloader??
Any suggestions? What my main question is: Is it possible to root that firmware? And would the lollipop firmware, which comes in a couple of days, make it easier to root (thanks to an exploit or something..)??
