[Q] Black screen after compiling custom CWM recovery topic

SOCIALIZE IT ⇨

For a couple of days now, I've been trying to build a custom CWM recovery image for the Samsung Galaxy Camera 2 (sf2wifi), but I keep booting into a black screen.

I have searched both this forum and Google for hours, made several changes to the BoardConfig.mk, verified the device path to the partitions in recovery.fstab are correct, and even tried replacing the kernel mkvendor.sh extracted from the boot.image with the kernel from the stock recovery image. This is new territory for me and with the absence of any log data, I really have no idea what is causing this. Any advice is appreciated.

P.S. Two other things I wanted to mention are:

- I've noticed a discrepancy between the custom and stock recovery file images. I'm not sure if this is indicative of a problem, but I thought it was worth pointing out.

Code:

-rw-r--r--+ 1 colin          Domain Users  6846464 Apr 16 14:00 recovery.img
-rwxrwx---+ 1 colin          Domain Users  8388608 Apr 15 00:44 recovery_backup_2015-04-15_00-44-27.img

The image with a date and timestamp in the filename is a backup of the stock recovery.

- The device tree is available on Github at https://github.com/AWildColin/androi...amsung_sf2wifi
