[Q] 5x5 Lock Pattern Problems topic
I'm using CM12. I set a 5x5 lock pattern and now my phone cannot be unlocked nor can the storage be decrypted in recovery mode because it expects a 3x3 pattern instead. I have no idea what that 3x3 pattern might be and despite my attempts, I cannot get the phone to unlock or decrypt the storage in recovery. I sure know what the 5x5 pattern is, though!
At first TWRP wanted a PIN before I updated it. Can the 5x5 patttern be translated into a pin? If so, could I potentially save my data that way? After updating, TWRP now requires a 3x3 pattern as well, but I assume I could go back if needed.
No amount of searching over the last two hours has brought up anything. Someone has already asked this on the CM forums with no reply and the Cyanogenmod IRC channel is mostly dead or I'm not doing something right considering there are hundreds of people in that channel right now.
