Phone overheated and cracked screen topic

My LG G3 got a lot hotter than usual while on the charger. But I thought it would cool down if I just let it continue to charge and just put it to sleep. When I woke up today I saw a 2 hairline cracks on my screen and I called LG and explained what happen they set up a RA. Will they actually repair my phone or will they try to charge me? Has this happen to anyone elseAttachment 3247425
