Nexus 7 2013 - cannot unlock bootloader - Any new info? topic
Same story different date. I've been researching for days on here and other forums looking for a fix for the situation where you cannot unlock the bootloader on a Nexus 7 2013. It just hangs on:
erasing userdata...
There is no OS installed so it hangs on Google boot screen. ADB is not accessible. Fastboot and stock recovery work but I cannot flash anything in fastboot because of the locked bootloader.
Before I swap out the motherboard with a refurbished one I wanted to just ask on here whether there had been any new developments in this area that I might have missed while researching. I have a buddy that mentioned that he read on here that you can disassemble the device and short two points to allow writing of the flash. Is this true? If so can someone provide a link? If I have to swap out the motherboard anyway I might as well give that a shot.
