Many random NO SERVICE with StraighTalk lately topic

As the title says - we (three N5 in the household, two in one part of MA, another 90 miles away) get NO SERVICE message on the top left screen and service bar is empty.
It started just prior to 5.1 OTA upgrade. It can come at any time, I noticed often when I take it out of my pocket, or even when it lies quietly on the desk - out of the blue it has no service.

Anyone else experience this? Any idea what's going on?
