Disabling the 'device location shared' notification when using device manager?? topic

Recently Google seemed to have decided that when using device manager to locate a device that it'd be a really intelligent idea to post a notification on that device saying location has been shared. This is stupid if someone has stolen your phone. Anyone know how to disable this notification?
