[Q] OMNIRom - volume sound, plus notification and keypad sounds no longer working topic

I installed v0.7 unoffical omni rom for my MotoG from XDA and then went ahead to remove the following apks:

Apollo.apk
BasicDreams.apk
DSPManager.apk
Galaxy4.apk
HoloSpiralWallpaper.apk
MagicSmokeWallpapers.apk
NoiseField.apk
PhaseBeam.apk
PhotoTable.apk
VisualizationWallpapers.apk

Later on, I noticed the volume rocker sounds were no longer there, the dial tone sounds not working, and the notifications did not make any sound. However the click sound of selecting icons, or putting the phone on standby still worked, and generally the sound works when receiving a phone call or calling.

The phone was not rooted by the rom itself, so I flashed the SuperSU zip from recovery afterwards.

Any ideas what happened and how to fix?
