Battery problem topic

OK, kind of an interesting situation. At home, my battery life is great. I'm on XDK, no other issues. When I am at work, my battery drains much faster.
In the past, the building I am in acts like a Faraday cage, I get no cell signal. The WiFi is great though. So I figured that the phone was searching for phone signal, that was what was running the battery down.
Now, my boss bought a microcell, a cell phone repeater; and gave me and all the rest of the department (about 12 guys) permission to use it. It's much nicer having cell service in my office. Nice boss.
However, since then, my battery has drained even worse. It isn't searching for signal, so what is eating up the battery. Oh, and I don't ever turn on my data because my WiFi is so good.
As always, any help is much appreciated.
