Activating new Nexus 5 on Sprint using old SIM card topic

Long story short. I had a Nexus 5, sold it for a Nexus 6 and now have a Nexus 5 again because the Nexus 6 is way too big for me. Is there a special procedure I need to follow in order to activate the new Nexus 5 using my old SIM card that was in my previous Nexus 5 or can I simply do the online activation with Sprint?
