Description

I'm pleased to introduce you StrawMaterial, a theme based and inspired on Material Design, launched by Google with Android 5.0 Lollipop. This theme will bring you an opaque red as accent color (from here Strawberry), a full black on the entire UI and a few apps with new styles, colors and icons, to make them more elegant.

Story

I'm not a developer but I'm trying to join in this beautiful Android world more deeply. I have a Galaxy Nexus and after a lot of bugs found in 4.4 ROMs that gave me a lot of problems, I decided to give another try to JellyBean 4.3 stock and it's stability impressed me. Why? Because for almost one year KitKat made me blame my innocent Galaxy Nexus, but it wasn't its fault. So the point is that with JellyBean 4.3 I felt that my phone was reborn, but Lollipop are becoming very tasty and I think to switch to the latest version of the green robot very soon. Since I have to say goodbye to my friend JellyBean and I want to learn more things, I gave it a new life with StrawMaterial. Now my device looks like exactly how I wanted to, and I really love it!

Requirement

This theme is compatible with Android 4.3 JellyBean stock, but it should work with other versions like for example 4.1 and 4.2, or even 4.0 and 4.4. You can try at your own risk. It supports only XHDPI devices, despite I put in the APK a lot of XXHDPI resources. If you want to apply it on other ROMs that are based on AOSP ones but are not fully stock, you're welcome but be careful.Root is required to use StrawMaterial theme and since stock ROMs don't have theme managers, if you want to apply it you have to download HKThemeManager (http://repo.xposed.info/module/com.h...hkthememanager) as module of Xposed Framework (http://repo.xposed.info/module/de.ro...osed.installer) and set the theme with redirections.xml activated; you can find it in the app under the voice Settings and then Set Theme Options.

Warnings

Remember to make a full backup of your phone to restore it in case something goes wrong. When you apply the theme uncheck the apps that you know are modified by you or someone else and that are not stock anymore; this can lead to force closes and bootloops. Make me know if you like StrawMaterial, if you have bugs or if you have a request; but keep in mind that I won't theme apps that are Material Designed yet.
