I have a stock 4.4.4, heavily moded with xposed modules, I have recently been trying to fix the phone call quality on my nexus 5 and some how managed to completely damage something within the phones system, there's no sound at all I tried
earphones
Speakers
Different music app (spotify)


I even tried to change my ring tone (when you change it, it plays the new ring tone)

I DON'T WANT TO FACTORY RESET MY N5


I was thinking of replacing the system/etc folder which has the mixer_paths.xml file which i tired to tweak
