[REF] Share Here The Tested Methods to Unpack and Repack Samsung *.img files only topic
Hello All Friends in this Great Forum
I have a GSM shop and I do softwares for my clients, And I faced a problem after a while, Some users claim that my software is not working as they want, Even all my files are stock and I do not work with custom ROMs.
After I checked closely, I found that some of them are trying to flash their devices by themselves and some times they try many bad app and delete them, And come bake to me and claim that my software is bad, and many other things.
I found a way to know if the software on that device is mine or someone else install it, It is an easy method i found on this Great Forum, I just extract the stock firmware, And add an apk file to hidden.img, then repack the TAR file. After I used this method I can check if the software is mine or not :D
I tested many firmwares and success, But there some models which can not be flashed after repack, So I Made this post to share with all the tested models and also other users can share here and help each other to test and make this post as a reference for Samsung models Only, To keep it clear and easy to find.
I Searched the forum before and found many post here and there, But never saw any post for Samsung *.img only, So please try to keep this post clean and clear, By posting Samsung related things only :o
The Method I used is ( I run it on Ubuntu 12.04 ):
to Unpack the Samsung *.IMG file
I add my APK after this step, Then repack the *.IMG file:
After this step I just create the TAR file again, And flash it via Odin flasher :o
Notice: when i have a model with hidden.img.ext4 type i just add .ext4 extension to the steps mentioned above.
