Quick Memo from lollipop does not have overlay mode? topic

I've just updated my G2 D801 (t-mobile) through LG support software; therefore, I'm running Lollipop. The only problem or disappointment so far is that the overlay mode for quick memo seems to be gone. Could you guys confirm if this is true or if I'm not using it correctly? Can I downgrade my Quick Memo from the actual one to the LG G2 kit kat?
