So I have a HTC J One, HTL22, basically identical to a M7 except for the SD card slot I think. I hope this is the correct area to post this thread.

I bought the phone 2nd hand from Amazon while I was in japan and my goal is to SIM unlock it so I can use it on a local carrier in Australia. Anyone on this forum done this before?

I'm going through a tutorial, I've S-off and unlocked through the paid sunshine app, rooted through super su. Though now my win7 pc won't connect to it over usb while its booted TWRP custom recovery, is this a driver issue? I've tried uninstalling, rebooting and re-installing 3 types of drivers to no avail.
Shows up as Jone in device manager as a unknown device, yellow triangle and no assigned driver.
I need the usb connection in TWRP to do a few commands through adb and complete the tutorial.

I also tried this method, 3 times for safe bet, though didn't work for me.
