[Q] TF701 still best bang for the buck? topic

Is this being refreshed? I am tempted to buy this now even as old as it is as it still has darn good specs and is not quite on par with the new Samsung Tab S it is NOT far behind at all... Would hate to but this then there be a new model eleased... Few questions:

1) I was looking at a chromebook but I still like a tablet for my android apps - with the new and improved keyboard is it sturdy enough to have on your lap like a laptop and be able to browse the web, etc.?

2) Is there another option I shojld be considering with a keyboard that is on par due to this model being so old?
