[Q] Restored backup (Helium), some apps hidden - how to restore visibility? topic
Hi,
I restored my S5 backup on my new S6 and things looked very good. Even got my launcher setup back. Which is the problem too, it seems. Now, while Samsung doesn't have the menu to hide/display apps on the S6 the old config seems to support it. So the apps that were previously hidden are still hidden. And no way to get them back.
Anyone know how to reset this? I'm not rooted, and I'm going to stay unrooted for once. I guess this config's somewhere user writable since I could "edit it" (through my launcher, mind you) on the old device.
As a last resort, I might even be interested in just resetting the whole launcher to get the icons back - as long as I don't lose other configs.
While I'm at it - extra credit for pointing me to an app sorter that works under Lollipop ;)
