Hello XDA, this is my first post and I'm honestly kind of a noob.
I'm trying like crazy to learn as much as I can and I lurk here often.
this LG G3 was my first try to ever root a device.
I was able to root, flash team win recovery project, flash with a few ROMs
And a few other things.
I've always loved Android. I had an iPhone4 a long time ago and I hated it for personal reasons. but I've had a Galaxy S Vibrant, galaxy s2 SGH-i777, and a handful of other devices including a Windows Phone 8x from HTC.
I've always been pretty tech savvy and I've been proficient in the use with Windows, but I have never much messed with Linux or attempted any kind of code other than HTML.
I digress, I was interested in changing my boot animation and boot audio. so I did a little research it seems basic enough I flipped between a couple boot animations, a couple boot sounds until I came upon a combination that I liked.
well the only thing that I can think of that I might have done wrong with the PowerOn.ogg file was use some stupid smart cleaner, system app, because I believe I saw that file on the list of things to "clean".
Not to mention it was only after the smart clean that my boot sound stopped working.
I rebooted my phone using quick boot at work to show a friend with an iPhone 6 plus my epic boot animation, and the song I had selected did not play, however the boot animation ran flawlessly, and didn't always finish before. I've tried replacing the file by over writing it with a new audio file of the same name. I have no idea what happened. It just doesn't work anymore.
please don't criticize me for not knowing. I'm just here for help and to learn from the best.
this place can be a little intimidating haha.
