I cannot get into either download mode NOR recovery. Yes, I've tried all the button presses, nothing.
No recovery, no download. All I get is the warning about custom ROMs...

All I get is the stupid samsung logo and I kid you not PART of the PhilZ touch recovery. By part I mean the arrows at the bottom (back enter, up down etc). These images only show up for a splint second, then the thing reboot again, Samsung logo, rinse repeat.

Is it completely hosed?

Like I said, I cannot get into download mode. All I can get to is the message of "warning flashing custom ROMs..."

I 'accept' (forgot what the option was), and then the same thing happens, samsung logo, PhilZ touch icons (just the icons on the bottom, no menu).

This is quite annoying, I knew I fixed this somehow before (slightly related issue, don't remember details) by forcing it to make the screen all black and restocking it that way (sort of like DFU mode on the iOS devices I guess if that makes any sense), but I forgot the tool.
