[Q] Custom recovery not booting topic

I installed customer recovery twrp with success. But still boots stock recovery. Even tried cwm. And still no joy. Second gen moto e 2015 5.0.2 lollipop. I would be great full for any help. Bootloader unlocked. Fastboot gives the green light and still boots stock recovery. Being that the phone is new I could not find a post on this so I made one. Similar but not the same problem.
