[Q] can't set a ringtone for a specific group topic

SOCIALIZE IT ⇨

using the EXDIALER app, i set a different ringtone for each group.
however, for some reason, there's one group to which i can never set a specific RT, and it keeps ringing the default RT of the phone.
it allows me to do all the actions necessary but they won't stick.
i tried different kinds of files (mp3, amr, ogg), changing the group's name etc. NOTHING!
the only reason i can think of is the amount of contacts i have there (approx. 1000). that's the only difference between that group and the others.
i use cm11 4.4.4 but it also didn't work with LP 5&5.0.1
