[Q] 64 bit question topic
Hopefully this is the right forum section to post this in... but I have a question.
I'm looking to upgrade my phone from a Samsung GS4 Active to anything with a 64bit cpu. I take it that most of those phones will come with Android 5.0 or higher, but I'm a fan of older versions.
I know plenty about how regular PCs handle 32 bit software on a 64 bit cpu, but I know nothing of how Android and mobile devices handle such a thing, or if older android versions can even be installed on a system with a 64 bit chip. I assume I could install, say, 4.2.2 on a newer phone, but I didn't want to risk bricking such expensive hardware just after purchasing it.
So my question comes down to this: If I buy an android phone with a 64 bit cpu and Android Lollipop, can I downgrade versions somehow, and if so, how would one go about doing it?
