Need help with Rooting topic

Hi, I have the samsung galaxy s2 skyrocket i727 still running ginger bread. The usb port on it is broken so I can't charge the phone or hook it up to the computer. Is there any to root this phone without using the computer or mobile odin? To use mobile odin it already needs to have a custom recovery correct? Can I install a custom recovery with root? or using a computer? I have tried several of the apps I've seen posted like z4root, gingerbreak, klingo, stumproot, towelroot and i think 1 or 2 others. Can anyone please give me advice on how to get this rooted with step by step instructions please!! Thanks in advance for any help!!!!
