[Mi3] procedure to flash recovery (TWRP/CWM) topic
people who are facing stock Recovery even after tried flashing TWRP or CWM, follow this bellow steps.
TYPE -1 (FASTBOOT) you need PC for this type
:p Before start the steps copy the necessary files
Step - 1: install CWM R8 version via UPDATER app
reboot mobile
Step - 2: Connect your Mi3 with USB cable to the PC in fastboot mode. (power+volume down during boot time to enter fastboot mode)
Step - 3: Create a folder anywhere in your PC and extract these files adb.exe, AdbWinApi.dll, AdbWinUsbApi.dll, fastboot.exe and recovery image file in that folder.
Step - 4: open command window in that folder press shift+right click on mouse and select open command window here.
Step - 5: Now on command windows type
fastboot devices
and hit enter,If your device is connected properly you'll see your device serial no on command window.
Step - 6: Type
fastboot flash recovery twrp-2.8.5.0-cancro.img
and hit enter,you'll see some status on the command window.
Step - 7: Type
fastboot reboot
your device will reboot.
Congratulations now you've TWRP installed in your device.
TYPE -2 (RECOVERY)
:p Before start the steps copy the necessary files
Step - 1: install R8 version via UPDATER app
(reboot the mobile)
Step - 2: go to recovery via UPDATER app or recovery directly by switched off mobile then press and hold the POWER+VOLUME UP
Step - 3: then you can install the R11 version (install on the same system which u using)
Important note :
1-kindly take full backup and copy files to PC
2-Copy ROM (flashable)ZIP file in your device for safer side (by this you can get back your device easily if you device get brick/bootloop)
