Jump into a nexus 6 topic

Wife has really done a number on my nexus 5. Shattered the screen completely. I had decided to skip the nexus 6 completely, figuring the nexus 5 performance is still great and I could wait the nexus 6 out. Now I'm stuck and I need a replacement quick. I don't think I can handle a HTC m9 or a samsung s6, having been pure since the galaxy nexus. But wow, that screen still looks massive. 5 inches has been the sweet spot for me. Anxiety is rising...so will everything be OK if I get a nexus 6? Will I learn to cope?

PS would also be grateful to hear the nexus 6 is not a dud like my nexus 9 - that thing is a POS.
