I saw some of the guys facing issues with the other method that I posted before HERE
So I'm here with other one which is pretty easy

What we are doing here is flashing a zip from the native(stock) recovery of the redmi2 which will root the device(install su binaries in the system). After the flashing completes, just reboot the device. After device boots up, you'll see root access in miui's "security" app... Enable it and enjoy root access.. :D


Steps-

1- get the zip which will root the device from HERE

2-go in "settings-->about phone-->system update"

3-look at upper right corner, you'll see a button with "three dots". Touch it and menu will appear.

4-now select "select update package" option.

5. Now browse to the directory where the downloaded zip is and select it.

6-zip will be flashed automatically and device will reboot.]

7-enable root access from "security" app and enjoy


Unrooting:-
get the unrooting zip from HERE and just flash with above process and device will be unrooted! :)
