Google Play-service 7.0.99 blocks deep sleep on any android devices topic
Hi.
The new Google Play-service 7.0.99 has a new 'stupid' permission named "keep awake" and it blocks deep sleep on the device. it uses more battery life than before. I had to root my device, install xPrivacy app and deny keep awake on Google Play-service to get deep sleep back. and i had to flash CM 11 for privacy feature and block "keep awake" permission
My primary deivce is Nexus 6 running Android 5.1 (OFFICIAL ROM)
My second device is Samsung Galaxy S3 mini running custom rom. Cyanogenmod 12, Android 4.4.4
My tablet is Denver TAD-10023 running Android 4.1.1 (OFFICIAL ROM, NO ROOT)
Do you guys have the same problem with battery drain, even with non-root devices running stock ROM?
