Since the Galaxy S6 was released and after reading the first few threads about the Galaxy S6 duos, I was wondering if the phone will be available in Europe in the near future.
Today I saw a post of an Asian user with a photo of the S6 duos back and then my curiosity about the question was higher then ever before. So I decided to call the Samsung support. Maybe they will give me some informations. And yes they did! But unfortunately the guy on the phone told me things I didn't want to hear :(
He told me that the Galaxy S6 duos will not come the the European market. So I asked him why and he told me the reason why they build these dual SIM variants of the phones.
In Asia the network coverage of the mobile providers isn't that good like in Europe. So many people need two different phone provider (two SIM cards) to have a better network coverage.
Then I told him that many people in Germany (like me) carrying to mobile phones with them. One private phone and one business phone. He told me I should use Samsungs Knox to have to "separated Systems" on my phone, but he didn't get that I have two SIM cards with different numbers. After I told him that I have these two cards to separate business and private calls/numbers he seems to understand why I want to have this dual SIM phone on the European market, but I felt he doesn't care about it because in his opinion nobody would use it here.
So what do you think? Maybe they just need some more consumer demand. So you could write a Mail "directly to the CEO" ;)

Seitdem das Galaxy S6 erschienen und die ersten Beiträge über das Galaxy S6 duos zu lesen waren, habe ich mich gefragt ob das Gerät in naher Zukunft auch auf dem Europäischen Markt erscheinen wird.
Heute habe ich einen Beitrag eines Asiatischen Benutzers mit einem Foto der S6 duos Rückseite gesehen und meine Neugierde zu dem Thema war so groß wie nie zuvor. Also habe ich mir kurzerhand entschlossen einfach mal den Samsung Support anzurufen. Vielleicht geben die mir ja ein paar Antworten. Und tatsächlich bekam ich antworten! Jedoch hat mir der Mann am Telefon leider Antworten gegeben die ich nicht hören wollte :(
Er erzählte mir, dass das Galaxy S6 duos nicht auf den Europäischen Markt kommen wird. Ich fragte ihn warum und er erzählte mir weshalb überhaupt die dual SIM Varianten der Smartphones gebaut werden.
In Asian ist die Netzabdeckung der Mobilfunk Provider nicht so gut wie in Europa. Deshalb benötigen viele Menschen dort zwei unterschiedliche Provider (zwei SIM Karten) um so eine bessere Netzabdeckung zu erhalten.
Dann erzählte ich ihm das viele Menschen in Deutschland (so wie ich) zwei Telefone mit sich führen würden. Eines für den privaten Gebrauch und eines für den geschäftlichen. Er riet mir dann Samsung Knox zu verwenden um zwei voneinander getrennte Systeme auf einem Smartphone nutzen zu können, aber er hatte wohl nicht ganz verstanden das ich zwei SIM Karten mit zwei unterschiedlichen Telefonnummern besitze. Nachdem ich ihm erzählt habe das ich zwei unterschiedliche SIM Karten habe um privat und geschäftlich voneinander zu trennen, schien er zu verstehen warum ich dieses dual SIM Smartphone gerne auf dem Europäischen Markt haben möchte. Jedoch hatte ich das Gefühl das ihn das gar nicht interessierte, denn seiner Meinung nach würde es hierzulande niemand gebrauchen.
Was denkt ihr darüber? Vielleicht muss man da ja einfach nur mal die Nachfrage etwas erhöhen indem jeder der Interesse hat mal eine Mail an den "Samsung CEO" schickt ;)
