Earbud mic button push to talk topic

SOCIALIZE IT ⇨

Hello everyone,

I have a set of earbuds that fit my ears perfectly, have excellent sound, and are all around the best ear buds I've had in a while. The problem is that the mic seems to work only when I push the controller button on the earbuds. This makes using the earbuds inconvenient for phone calls. Is there any setting, or something that can be done on the Android system to remove push to talk during phone calls? I'm making this post under the assumption that it is a software issue, but I'll also be looing into hardware solutions on the earbuds themselves.

Thanks,

Misha
